“Catechesis is an Education in the faith of children, young people and adults which includes especially the teaching of Christian doctrine imparted, generally speaking, in an organize and systematic way, with a view to initiating the hearers into the fullness of Christian life.”
The Parish is committed to supporting families in the faith formation of their children, rooted in the mission of Jesus Christ to proclaim the living Word of God and to make disciples of all nations. Faith Formation is a lifelong journey that begins in the home and is nurtured by the entire Catholic community.
Our catechetical approach reflects the policies, guidelines, and curriculum of the Archdiocese of San Francisco. Through age-appropriate instruction, prayer, and community, children are invited to encounter the love of God, come to know the person of Jesus, and grow in understanding of the Catholic faith.
At the heart of this ministry is the partnership between the parish and parents, who are the primary educators of their children in the ways of faith. Our goal is to support families in nurturing a vibrant and lasting relationship with Christ.
Catechists—faith-filled parish volunteers—help foster this growth by sharing scripture, Church tradition, and the joy of Catholic living. Together, we seek to form young disciples who are engaged in their faith and inspired to live it out with purpose and love.
