Lay Canossian Association

The Association of the faithful Lay Canossians, whose members are called to live, in the world, the charism and the spirituality of the Canossian Daughters of Charity and the Canossian Sons of Charity, founded by Saint Magdalene of Canossa, is a public association of the faithful recognized with a decree of the Sacred Congregation for Institutes of consecrated life and Societies of apostolic life.

They are men and women, single, married or widowed who want to live their baptismal commitment with the spirit of dedication inspired by the charism of Saint Magdalene of Canossa and work, united to the Institute of the Canossian Sisters, sharing their spiritual riches. A special branch of the Association is the OBLATES: sick people, homebound, or praying members, who are spiritually associated to the Canossian Family. They offer their prayers, sacrifices and sufferings in union and in the spirit of Jesus Crucified.
